Our Vision

To unlock the vast potential within each child, fostering their ability to think independently, act with purpose, and navigate the world with confidence. Our aim is to cultivate individuals who are not only prepared to thrive as compassionate and informed global citizens but are also equipped with resilience, creativity, critical thinking, and robust social skills. We are committed to nurturing strong, positive relationships and instilling an appreciation for diversity, inclusivity, and the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Our Mission

To provide a nurturing learning environment that combines the guiding principles and strands of Te Whāriki with the enriching activities of the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) method. By intertwining the essence of Te Whāriki with Montessori philosophy, we aim to deliver a comprehensive education that satisfies the intellectual, physical, and spiritual needs of the child. Our goal is to empower children to navigate the complexities of the modern world by offering a holistic education that emphasises practical skills alongside academic learning. We strive to honor each child's uniqueness, offering a 'home away from home' that fosters an eager engagement with our staff and surroundings. Our commitment extends to nurturing the whole child—physically, socially, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually—ensuring a well-rounded development and a lifelong love for learning.

Strategies

Mighty Minds Montessori House of Children offers full-day childcare and education services for children between the ages 2 to 6 years. The curriculum offered, is governed by Te Whariki, in a prepared environment comprising Montessori apparatus. The qualified and experienced Montessori teachers discharge their duties as facilitators in the classroom, always ready to assist and direct. Their role is to stimulate the child's enthusiasm for learning and to guide it, without interfering with the child's natural desire to teach him/herself and become independent.
